Welcome back to a brand new season at Redcliffe Little Athletics for 2024/25. Myself and the new committee are ready and looking forward to an exciting year ahead. Towards the end of last season we received a variety of feedback on areas we can improve on and we have been working hard during the off season to reshape the way the centre operates. A huge thank you from the bottom of my heart to those that have volunteered to be part of the committee this year. Sporting associations like ours would not survive without the generous efforts of our volunteers.
We still have a number of committee positions vacant, so if you would like to help us in growing this amazing centre please speak to any of the existing committee members. We are seeking a Publicity Officer, Registrar, Nominations Officer.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the local businesses who support our centre. Redcliffe Leagues Club is once again our major sponsor as well as continuing support from Moreton Bay Websites and Steve Redback Pest control. Please show your thanks by supporting the businesses that continue to support us.
Little Athletics Queensland has also had some changes with their major sponsors for the coming few season. McDonalds, Coles and Quality Hotel Robertson Gardens are continuing while HART Sport and Tribal Sport are new to the ranks. Coles at Kippa Ring will again be supplying Bananas on our Friday night competitions, so make sure you grab one to eat between events.
This season Strathpine Little Athletics will be hosting the Regional Relays on November 9th 2024 and the Regional Championships on 7-9th February, 2025.
In January we will be hosting our very popular Twilight Carnival on 11th January 2025. It will be great to see many of our athletes competing on this exciting day. We are crossing all our fingers and toes that the rain gods are kind to us this season.
